Vouch is an app that rewards authentic, face-to-face brand recommendations between friends. When you recommend a brand to a friend in person, both of you earn points. The recommender also builds their Cred (a reputation score), and the listener receives a coupon for the recommended brand when the brand has an active offer.

Vouch requires you to be physically present with the person you're recommending to. We use Bluetooth to verify you're actually together — no spamming links to strangers, no mass-sharing codes online. This means every recommendation on Vouch is genuinely personal. You're vouching with your name and reputation, not an anonymous link.

Yes. Vouch is completely free for users. You earn rewards and coupons at no cost. Brands pay to be on the platform — you never do.

Vouch will be available on both iOS and Android at launch. You'll need a device with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support, which covers virtually all smartphones made in the last several years.

Both people need the Vouch app to complete a recommendation — the Bluetooth handshake happens between two devices. If your friend doesn't have it yet, that's actually a great moment: show them this site, have them download the app, and then Vouch together. Onboarding takes under two minutes.

Think of it as the natural opening line: "You should try this place — let me send you a Vouch." It starts the download conversation and the recommendation at the same time.

The Voucher is the person making the recommendation — they're putting their name behind a brand. The Listener is the person receiving the recommendation. Both people need the app. Both earn points. The Voucher also builds their Cred (reputation score), and the Listener receives a coupon when the brand has an active offer.

You need Bluetooth to connect with your friend, and an internet connection to load brands and complete the recommendation. The Bluetooth connection handles the peer-to-peer discovery — the internet handles the rest.

The Vault is your personal collection of every recommendation your friends have given you, along with any coupons attached. Think of it as a bookshelf of trusted suggestions — no more forgetting that restaurant your friend raved about. When you're ready to try it, the coupon is right there waiting.

Cred is your reputation score on Vouch — separate from the points you earn. It goes up when you make recommendations and goes up even more when your friends actually act on them. Your Cred grows through tiers — from Bronze all the way to Gold. Think of it as being known as the person with genuinely great taste.

You can recommend brands that are on the Vouch platform. We're constantly adding new brands — and if your favourite brand isn't listed yet, you can submit it for review. We curate the directory to maintain quality and ensure every brand on the platform can offer genuine value.

There are two ways: Vouching (recommending a brand to a friend) earns you points and builds your Cred reputation. If your friend redeems the coupon, your Cred gets an extra boost. Listening (receiving a recommendation) earns you points too, plus you get a coupon when the brand has an active offer.

Not always. Coupons are attached when the recommended brand has an active promotional offer on Vouch. Every recommendation still lands in your Vault so you never forget it, and both of you still earn points — but the coupon depends on the brand's current offers.

Coupon expiry depends on the brand's offer. Each coupon in your Vault will clearly show its terms and expiry date. We encourage brands to keep offers generous and reasonable — the whole point is to reward authentic recommendations, not create pressure.

Yes — you can redeem your points for prepaid Virtual Visa cards directly in the app. Choose from preset amounts starting at 1,000 points ($10) up to 10,000 points ($100), and the card is delivered straight to your email. You need a minimum of 1,000 points to redeem.

Cred is separate — it's your reputation score and can't be cashed out, but higher Cred tiers (Bronze through Gold) unlock recognition and perks.

No. Vouch does not collect GPS, cell tower, or Wi-Fi location data. We use Bluetooth to confirm two people are physically nearby — that's it. Proximity is the proof, not surveillance.

No. Vouch never accesses your phone's contact list or address book. Connections happen in person via Bluetooth — we don't need your contacts to work.

Yes. We use Google Firebase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit, SOC 2 certified data centres, and server-side validation for all business logic. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Absolutely. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings or our account deletion page. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, wallet balance, transaction history, and all associated data.
